OUR INTENDED MISSION

Conservation that
can sustain itself.

We want to help build a future in which healthy landscapes support thriving communities, and the benefits of conservation endure beyond a single grant.

The proposed programme model explores conservation services, community enterprise and other mission-aligned income alongside eligible funding partnerships. Each funding source will require clear terms on purpose, costs, reporting and permitted use.

PROPOSED PROGRAMME AREAS

Place. People. Possibility.

01

Landscape stewardship

Support for habitat restoration, conservation planning and partnerships with established local and technical organisations.

02

Community opportunity

Enterprise readiness, skills, local supply chains and participation in nature-based tourism.

03

Knowledge & heritage

Research, environmental education and heritage interpretation that connect evidence with practical action.

ACCOUNTABILITY BY DESIGN

Separate mandates.
Shared purpose.

The initiative’s budget, decision-making and reporting arrangements are being developed. Programme-level separation within a business is not a separate legal entity; any independent charitable structure would require its own establishment and approvals.

Read our principles

Independent oversight

Independent conservation, community and financial perspectives are intended to inform programme oversight. No separate charitable board or trustees are represented as appointed.

Responsible funding

Restricted grants used only for approved purposes. Any related-party arrangement would require disclosure, independent review, fair terms and funder permission where applicable.

Evidence of impact

Project baselines and indicators agreed before implementation, covering ecological outcomes, livelihoods, participation and financial sustainability.

Transparent operations

Identifiable programme budgets and records, appropriate reporting, documented decisions and accessible channels for concerns. Any separate legal entity would require its own accounting and governance arrangements.

FLORA, FAUNA & HABITATS

Protecting the living
systems we share.

ZamPro Foundation is developing initiatives focused on Zambia’s flora, fauna and the habitats on which they depend. Programme scopes, locations and delivery partnerships are being developed around ecological evidence, community priorities and appropriate permissions.

Indigenous flora & habitat restoration

Exploring native-plant conservation, habitat restoration and community stewardship. Specific activities will be defined with qualified partners and the relevant rights holders.

Wildlife & species of conservation concern

Developing evidence-led proposals for species and habitats identified through credible conservation assessments. Legal protection, assessed threat status and local population trends will be distinguished for each programme.

Black lechwe & wetland stewardship

Black lechwe is an intended conservation focus, with the programme scope still in development. Possible areas for partner-led assessment include habitat stewardship, population monitoring, community education and responsible nature-based enterprise.

African Parks reports black lechwe recovery under management in Bangweulu (Bangweulu conservation overview ↗). No blanket population-decline claim is made, and no ZamPro management right or partnership with the existing landscape managers is implied.
